The team building sector in Madrid has changed a lot in recent years. What used to be a company lunch with two time-filler games is now a strategic tool that HR departments use to retain talent, reinforce corporate culture and reduce accumulated stress. And that has produced very different kinds of agency: some specialising in food, others in technology, others in a consulting format, others purely operational.

The problem when you search for “best team building companies Madrid” is that most of the lists that come up are disguised self-promotion: rankings where the top spot always happens to be whoever wrote the article, with no clear criteria and no real differentiation between the options. This guide tries to do the opposite: to explain what kind of company each agency suits, what each one does better than the rest, and why our own company (Froggy Events) is on the list, yes, but also why there are 9 alternatives that may make more sense for your specific case.

If you are looking for a supplier for your next corporate event, this article will save you 4 hours of searching and 8 unnecessary calls.

Selection criteria

Before the list, the criteria. We selected the 10 agencies in this article by applying 5 objective filters:

The 5 filters we applied

  • A minimum track record of 4 years in the corporate events sector in Madrid. No agencies improvised in the past year.
  • Verified reviews from real corporate clients. We ruled out agencies with fewer than 50 Google reviews or with a suspicious pattern.
  • Clear specialisation that sets them apart. A list of 10 agencies doing exactly the same thing makes no sense.
  • The ability to operate in Madrid with their own or an established team. Agencies that only subcontract to third parties are excluded.
  • Editorial presence or industry recognition: media appearances, awards, published cases or real press coverage.

That filter naturally leaves many Madrid agencies off the list. An absence is not a demerit: it means their profile overlapped too much with an agency already selected, or that they did not fit the comparison angle of this article.

And now, the list.

Eventeam

Fixed venue in Atocha Escape rooms In-house catering

Best for: Companies without their own room who prefer to travel to a fixed venue designed for events.

One of the most established agencies in central Madrid, with its own venue of around 1,500 m² in Atocha where they host groups. Their core offer revolves around escape rooms designed for companies and group activities held inside their own space, with catering built in. That removes the logistics of travelling, booking a separate restaurant and coordinating two different venues.

It fits very well with companies that prefer to travel to a fixed venue and enjoy a space designed specifically for this kind of event, rather than doing it at their own offices or in rented spaces. It is the opposite of Froggy in that sense: we go to the client’s office, they host the company at their venue. Both models are valid depending on the case. For companies with small offices or without a room available for 30+ people, their model is probably more convenient.

One thing to bear in mind: being limited by the physical space, they do not run large show formats or extensive urban gymkhanas. If what you want is something like a Mega Contest or Mystery in the City, that is not their natural profile.

Acuilae

Tech / IA Corporate Lego Drones and robotics

Best for: Innovation and IT departments, or companies in digital transformation, looking for a tech format.

Specialists in tech team building since 2004. Their catalogue revolves around artificial intelligence, robotics, drones and corporate Lego® activities. They received an innovation award in Artificial Intelligence in 2020, during their time as a tech startup. They say they have worked with more than 550 companies over these two decades.

Their strength lies in tech escape rooms and gymkhanas using tablets and iPads for teams that want a more digital format. It can fit well with innovation, IT or marketing departments, or companies going through digital transformation who want the team building to reinforce the “we are a tech company” message. They also include creativity and building activities with Lego.

They keep a blog where they publish on AI applied to HR and sector trends. Their public guide price starts from €25 per person, which puts them in the lower-middle range of the sector, although published “from” rates are not comparable with a closed quote. They are not the option for a classic food experience or team building with a traditional component: if you want a cooking contest or an adventure gymkhana, there are more natural options.

Madrid Adventure

International companies DMC 25+ years

Best for: International companies that need a complete convention (logistics + team building) in Madrid.

An agency with more than 25 years of track record since 1999 and a profile strongly focused on international companies coming to Madrid. They regularly work with clients such as Amazon, Microsoft, Nike and Pfizer when these hold conventions, kick-offs or global meetings in the capital and need a supplier who understands the codes of the international sector (languages, deadlines, lead times, formality of the proposal).

Their profile is closer to a DMC (Destination Management Company) than a pure team building agency. That means they can run the team building, yes, but also the full logistics: hotels, transfers, distinctive Madrid venues, food, AV equipment and production. If what you need is a single supplier covering a 3-day international convention with team building included, they are a very solid option.

For small or mid-sized Spanish companies that only need a one-off team building activity, their full-service DMC profile can be more than they need (and therefore more expensive). Their value shows when there are multiple logistical layers to coordinate at once.

PositivArte

Positive psychology Workplace wellbeing Soft skills

Best for: Companies running wellbeing, climate or retention programmes that want a more training-led approach.

An agency specialising in corporate events built on positive psychology applied to teams. Their approach combines group dynamics with emotional wellbeing techniques, non-violent communication and soft-skills development. It is the entry on this list closest to the training and coaching world.

They fit well with companies building workplace wellbeing programmes, non-cash benefits or talent-care policies that want the team building to sit coherently inside that strategy. If your HR department is working on workplace climate, retention and internal communication, their format works as a natural complement to other initiatives.

They are not the option if you want a cooking contest, a competitive gymkhana or a show. Their value is in more reflective sessions and personal development applied to the team, not in the entertainment side. This is something you should be actively looking for, not end up with by accident.

Cocinea

Cooking school Paella Central venue

Best for: Small to mid-sized groups (up to 30–40) that want a food experience in a cooking-school format.

A cooking school with its own venue in central Madrid, specialising in food experiences for small and mid-sized groups, with authentic Valencian paella as the flagship. Their model is not a full-service events agency: it is a cooking school that opens its facilities to company teams for a learning-led food experience.

It works very well for groups of up to 30–40 people who want a school format: a chef teaching real technique, handling ingredients in professional kitchens and learning recipes they can repeat at home afterwards. It works especially well with small teams or individual departments (not with entire 80+ headcounts).

For large groups, or for companies that want a more show-like format (contest, competition, hosted entertainment), this is not their natural model. Their value lies in the depth and quality of the food itself, not in event production.

Treetops Madrid

Corporate food Chef Challenge Own venue

Best for: Companies that specifically want a MasterChef-style cooking competition at a dedicated venue.

Another food vertical, this time with their own culinary venue in Madrid where they run the Chef Challenge: a closed MasterChef-style format in which teams compete cooking in professional kitchens against the clock and in front of a judging panel. Structurally it is very close to Froggy’s Master Cooking, but they run it exclusively at their own venue.

They fit companies that want this specific cooking-competition format and prefer a single fixed venue with dedicated equipment. If what you value is the quality of the setting (professional kitchens, furniture, atmosphere), their facility is designed down to the detail for exactly this.

The limitation is the same as Eventeam’s: because it is a fixed physical venue, the format cannot be taken to your office. If your company has a large room or a canteen you want to make use of (the “in-house” model that has become established in Madrid in 2026), their model does not fit.

Madrid Smart

Full service Relocation Applied AI

Best for: Companies internationalising or opening a new office that need several coordinated services.

An alliance between Speelsbury and Cabanya with a full-service corporate profile that goes beyond pure team building: they combine corporate events, relocation services for international professionals moving to Madrid, and AI-applied initiatives for team development.

Theirs is the most umbrella-like profile on the list: a company can hire them to coordinate several layers of service at once (receiving a new international team, helping them settle in, organising the welcome event, running the first team building with the rest of the workforce). It fits companies in the middle of internationalising or opening a new office in Madrid.

For a company that only wants a one-off team building, the full ecosystem may be more than it needs. They are worth considering when there is a strategic project underneath (opening an office, expansion, a growing international team) rather than when what you need is a standalone event.

Yumanyi

Madrid + Barcelona Broad catalogue In-house team

Best for: Companies with offices in both Madrid and Barcelona that want a single supplier for both.

An agency with established operations in both Madrid and Barcelona and around 10 years of track record. Their differentiator is the dual geographic coverage: companies with offices in both cities can hire the same supplier, with the same format and the same operational quality, in either one.

They fit companies with offices spread across locations that prefer a single supplier instead of managing two parallel contracts. For a company with staff in both Madrid and Barcelona that wants to run the same event (or coordinated events) at both sites in the same quarter, they are a natural option and save a great deal of coordination.

A broad catalogue (gymkhanas, food, escape rooms, group dynamics), though without a clear vertical specialisation setting them apart from an Acuilae or an Eventeam in their respective niches. Their strength is coverage, not format.

Tuset Eventos

Distinctive venues Social events Locations

Best for: Companies that prioritise a very broad catalogue of activities to choose from.

A profile geared more towards distinctive locations and event production than to pure team building. Their strength is rooftops with views, central lofts, urban palaces and alternative spaces in Madrid where you can host conventions as well as company dinners or corporate social events.

They fit especially well with companies that want to combine a corporate event with a venue that surprises: gala dinners, client conventions, product launches, end-of-year parties in locations that are not the typical hotel function room. They can build the team building in, but their core is producing the corporate social event.

For companies that only want the activity itself, hiring Tuset means paying for an overall production you will not make full use of. Tuset makes natural sense when there is already a “venue + atmosphere + production” component you want to get exactly right.

How to choose yours

If you have read this far you probably have a clearer picture of the landscape, but the decision still comes down to three internal questions worth answering before you ask for quotes:

1. Do you want to go to their venue, or have them come to your office?

This splits the list in two. Fixed venue: Eventeam, Cocinea, Treetops, Tuset (in part). In-house at your office or a space you rent yourself: Froggy Events, Acuilae, PositivArte, Yumanyi. Both models are valid. The first saves you logistics but limits how creative the format can be; the second gives more freedom but requires the company to have a room and a minimum of internal coordination.

2. What are you trying to achieve?

Cohesion and pure fun → Froggy Events, Eventeam, Yumanyi. Technical learning (cooking, AI, soft skills) → Cocinea, Treetops, Acuilae, PositivArte. Emotional wellbeing and development → PositivArte. International convention → Madrid Adventure, Madrid Smart. A venue that impresses → Tuset Eventos.

3. How big is your team?

Small (up to 25 people): any agency on the list works. Medium (25–80): Cocinea drops out (space limits) and sometimes Treetops. Large (80+): the ones that scale best are Froggy Events, Madrid Adventure, Yumanyi and Eventeam (with several groups rotating). Be wary of any agency that tells you “yes, we can handle 200 people in a single activity” without having done it many times before: that is where real craft shows.

Once you have clear answers to those three questions, the practical move is to ask 2 or 3 agencies in parallel — the ones that best match your profile — for a proposal. Compare not only price, but response times, how clear the quote is, whether hosts are included, what happens if it rains or the headcount changes, and whether the person you speak to on day one will also be there on the day of the event or simply hands you over to another team.
