Clear definitions, no filler.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>A<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Bonding activity<\/h3>\n<p>Any dynamic specifically designed to strengthen the bonds between members of a work team. Not synonymous with team building: a bonding activity can be one element within a broader programme.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Outdoor activity<\/h3>\n<p>An activity conducted outdoors, generally in natural or urban environments outside the company's usual premises. Ranges from hiking and scavenger hunts to orienteering or survival dynamics.<\/p>\n\n<h3>After work<\/h3>\n<p>An informal event organized at the end of the working day. Usually has a social component rather than structured training or dynamics. It's team building in its lightest form.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Capacity<\/h3>\n<p>The maximum number of people a venue can safely and comfortably accommodate. A fundamental data point when selecting a venue for a corporate event.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Host \/ event coordinator<\/h3>\n<p>A person in charge of managing logistics and attendee care during the event. Their presence makes a difference in events of more than 50 people.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>B<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Event branding<\/h3>\n<p>The set of visual and communicative elements that identify an event with the company's identity: signage, materials, screens, uniforms of the organizing team. Good branding makes the event feel like part of the company, not something external to it.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Briefing<\/h3>\n<p>Document or meeting in which the client communicates all requirements, objectives, constraints, and expectations to the organizing company. A well-done briefing is the foundation of a well-executed event.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>C<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Catering<\/h3>\n<p>Food and beverage service at an event. Ranges from a simple coffee break to a gala menu. One of the line items that most conditions the attendee experience and one of the hardest to reduce without it being noticed.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Workplace climate<\/h3>\n<p>The collective perception employees have of their work environment: relationships, communication, leadership, motivation. Team building is one of the most direct tools for sustainably improving workplace climate.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Coffee break<\/h3>\n<p>Pause during an event that includes drinks and light refreshments. It has a logistical function but also a social one: it's one of the most natural networking moments of any event.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Team cohesion<\/h3>\n<p>Degree of unity, trust, and sense of belonging among members of a work group. It is the main objective of most team building programmes.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Nonviolent communication (NVC)<\/h3>\n<p>Interpersonal communication methodology developed by Marshall Rosenberg that focuses on empathetic expression and active listening. Frequently used in learning-based team building oriented towards conflict resolution.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Sales convention<\/h3>\n<p>Internal corporate event aimed at a company's sales team. Usually combines results presentation, training, motivation, and team building. One of the corporate events with the highest average investment per attendee.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Event coordinator<\/h3>\n<p>Professional responsible for the planning, management, and supervision of all phases of an event. In complex events there may be several coordinators specialized by area.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>D<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Debriefing<\/h3>\n<p>Reflection and analysis session held at the end of a team building activity to extract learnings, consolidate the experience, and connect it to the real work environment. A team building without debriefing loses between 40% and 60% of its potential impact.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Group dynamic<\/h3>\n<p>Structured activity designed to observe and improve how a group interacts, makes decisions, or solves problems. Central component of most learning-based team building programmes.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>E<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Employee ambassador<\/h3>\n<p>Worker who acts as a positive representative of the company both inside and outside of it. Well-designed team building programmes help create employee ambassadors by increasing the sense of belonging.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Employee experience<\/h3>\n<p>Sum of all perceptions, emotions, and interactions an employee has with their company throughout their working relationship. Events and team building are key moments within the employee experience.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Post-event satisfaction survey<\/h3>\n<p>Measurement tool launched in the hours or days following an event to collect attendee feedback. Should be sent within the first 48 hours to obtain reliable responses.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Corporate escape room<\/h3>\n<p>Business version of the leisure escape room, adapted to work on skills such as communication, leadership, decision-making under pressure, or time management. Can be run in person or virtually.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Incentive event<\/h3>\n<p>Event designed to reward and motivate a group of employees, generally for achieving business objectives. Different from team building in that its main goal is reward, not team development.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Hybrid event<\/h3>\n<p>Event that combines in-person attendance and simultaneous remote participation. Requires specific planning to ensure the experience is equivalent for both types of attendees.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Immersive experience<\/h3>\n<p>Type of activity or event in which the participant is fully integrated into a designed narrative or environment, moving from spectator to protagonist. One of the highest-impact formats in team building.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>F<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Facilitator<\/h3>\n<p>Professional who guides the development of a group dynamic or team building session without imposing a specific outcome. Their role is to create the conditions for the group to reach its own conclusions.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Family day<\/h3>\n<p>Corporate event in which employees' families are invited to participate in joint activities. Reinforces the sense of belonging and humanizes the relationship between company and workers.<\/p>\n\n<h3>360\u00b0 feedback<\/h3>\n<p>Evaluation system in which an employee receives feedback from all the people they interact with: supervisors, peers, subordinates, and sometimes clients. Used in learning-based team building oriented towards leadership development.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>G<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Gamification<\/h3>\n<p>Application of game mechanics (points, rankings, challenges, rewards) to non-gaming contexts. In corporate events and team building, it's used to increase participation, motivation, and learning.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Gymkhana (scavenger hunt)<\/h3>\n<p>Team building activity made up of a series of tests or challenges that teams must complete collaboratively. Can be run in urban environments, rural settings, or indoor spaces.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>I<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Icebreaker<\/h3>\n<p>Brief dynamic at the start of an event or activity designed to reduce initial tension and facilitate interaction between participants. Especially useful when the group doesn't know each other or there is hierarchy that inhibits spontaneous communication.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Team integration<\/h3>\n<p>Process by which people who didn't previously work together \u2014 due to new hires, mergers, or organizational changes \u2014 come to function as a cohesive team. Team building is the most effective tool to accelerate this process.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>K<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Kick off<\/h3>\n<p>Event that marks the formal start of a project, fiscal year, or new company stage. Usually combines objective communication, motivation, and team building activities to start with the team aligned and energized.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>L<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Situational leadership<\/h3>\n<p>Leadership model that proposes adapting the management style to the maturity and competence level of each collaborator for each task. One of the most worked-on topics in learning-based team building for middle managers.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Event logistics<\/h3>\n<p>Set of operations needed for an event to run correctly: transport, setup, signage, time management, catering, technology, and supplier coordination.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>M<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Masterclass<\/h3>\n<p>Training session delivered by an expert on a specific topic. In corporate events, it's used as a value-added element within a broader programme.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Mentoring<\/h3>\n<p>Accompaniment process in which someone more experienced guides the professional development of another. When done in groups, it can be integrated as a component of a learning-based team building programme.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>N<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Networking<\/h3>\n<p>Process of creating and strengthening professional relationships. Corporate events are one of the most effective contexts for networking because they combine a shared environment with moments of relaxation that facilitate spontaneous connection.<\/p>\n\n<h3>NPS (Net Promoter Score)<\/h3>\n<p>M\u00e9trica que mide la probabilidad de que un participante recomiende un evento o actividad a otros. Team building and corporate events are common elements within these programmes.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Event production<\/h3>\n<p>Set of technical and creative elements that shape an event: lighting, sound, staging, screens, streaming, decoration, and artistic direction. Good production turns an act into an experience.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>R<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Role playing<\/h3>\n<p>Training technique in which participants act out real or hypothetical situations to practise communication, negotiation, leadership, or conflict management skills. Measuring event ROI requires defining success indicators before the event: improvement in workplace climate, reduction in conflict, increase in motivation, or impact on business results.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>S<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Sense of belonging<\/h3>\n<p>Degree to which an employee feels part of their team and their company. One of the most decisive factors in talent retention and one of the main objectives of well-designed team building.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Event staff<\/h3>\n<p>Team of people working during the event: coordinators, hosts, technicians, entertainers, and anyone needed for it to run properly.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>T<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Team building<\/h3>\n<p>Set of activities, dynamics, and experiences designed to strengthen the bonds between members of a work team, improve communication, and increase cohesion and collective performance. Not synonymous with leisure activity: well-designed team building has a strategic objective and a measurable impact.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Virtual team building<\/h3>\n<p>Team building format designed specifically for remote or hybrid teams. Requires digital platforms and dynamics adapted to the online environment. Has grown exponentially since 2020 and is already a discipline with its own methodology.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Brainstorming<\/h3>\n<p>Group idea generation technique in which quantity is encouraged over quality in a first phase, to then filter and develop the most relevant proposals. Common in creative team building dynamics.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>V<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Venue<\/h3>\n<p>Physical space where an event is held. Choosing the venue is one of the most strategic decisions in organizing a corporate event, because the space communicates as much as the content.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Incentive trip<\/h3>\n<p>Travel programme designed as a reward for employees or teams that have achieved specific objectives. Combines tourism experiences, team building activities, and recognition moments.<\/p>\n\n<hr>\n\n<h2>W<\/h2>\n\n<h3>Workshop<\/h3>\n<p>Short practical training session in which participants work actively on a specific topic.
